Sree Siddaganga College of Pharmacy was established in the year 1983-84 by Sree Siddaganga Education Society ® (SSES) for providing an outstanding professional education in pharmacy. Sree Siddaganga College of Pharmacy has well planned; decorative and magnanimous building and well educated highly experienced teachers to teach D.Pharma, B.Pharma, M.Pharm, PharmD and Ph.D, courses, are approved by AICTE & Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.

What is NABH?

NABH means National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers, it is a Hospital Accreditation and element of constituent board of Quality Council of India (QCI). QCI is set up to establish and operate accreditation program for health care organisations. It is formed in the year 2005, headquarter functioning at New Delhi.

The first edition of NABH standards was released in 2006 and this standard has been revising once in every 3 years. At present fifth edition standards released in April 2020. As on today more than 350 hospitals were accredited in India.

Majority of the hospitals in India are contending to get accredited by NABH, whose standards are in turn certified by ISQua (International Society for Quality in Healthcare).

What is the role of Pharmacist in NABH?

·        As the rate of accreditation increasing, there is a high demand to include Clinical Pharmacists (CPs) as the necessary healthcare provider of a healthcare team to achieve evidence-based medicine and rational drug therapy.

·        Pharmaceutical care carried out by pharmacist plays an important role in improving the overall delivery of quality of care and can able to generate revenue for hospitals.

·        In revolutionizing the India’s healthcare scenario, Pharmacists are playing a significant role by updating their knowledge on regularly.

·        Average salary 3 to 4 lakhs per annum.  

About the Course

 About the course:

  • Ø  The certificate course on ‘Management of Medication (MOM)’ as per recent NABH standards is a five days in-depth course.
  • Ø  Each day 2 to 3 criteria’s will be discussed through class room-based method from fundamental to advanced level.
  • Ø  At the end of each criteria question and answer, group discussion and workshop like activities will be conducted.
  • Ø  All the Resource persons / Instructors are from renowned and accredited hospital’s and having vast experience in management of medication.
  • Ø  At the end of the program MCQ type written examination will be conducted and marks statement’s shared with the participants.
  • Ø  The top three scorer will be further assisted to undergo necessary training near to their place along with stipend.
  • Ø   ‘Siddaganga Clinical Training’ newsletter will be release during the valedictory program. It contains information about participants like names, academic score, where they want to work? and contact details.
The released newsletter shared with all the accredited hospital’s in India. It may further create a job portal for our students and assist in placement and shared with all the participants.
